Terms & Conditions for the Italian Villa

Provisionally booked dates will only be held for 14 days.  Bookings can only be confirmed once the deposit and booking form have been received.          
          
Payment terms             
To secure the date you require please return the enclosed booking form with a 25% deposit which is non refundable (see Insurance).          
          
6 months before ceremony a further 50% of total hire charges.          
          
3 months before ceremony remaining and final 25% payment.          
          
Any costs incurred by Compton Acres   in the recovery of monies not received on time, such as legal and / or professional expenses (or any other relevant costs) will be charged to the client.  Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue from the date on which payment is due on a daily basis until payment is received.        
        
There is a cancellation charge which is calculated as a percentage of the total value of the booking, as detailed below.

All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.  Only once the written cancellation is received will the cancellation become effective.    
    
Cancellation by Compton Acres - Compton Acres reserves the right to cancel any functions or event within the Villa or it's grounds for any of the following reasons:    
    
a)If any part of Compton Acres is closed due to circumstances beyond our control.    
    
b)If the client or Compton Acres becomes insolvent or enters into liquidation or receivership.    
    
c)If the event may prejudice the reputation or cause damage to Compton Acres.    
    
In any of these situations Compton Acres will refund any payments made in advance, but will have no further liability to the client.  

Damage - Any damage caused to the Italian Villa, any gardens, statues, plants, water features or any other parts including other areas of the grounds, walkways, and staff (this list is not exhaustive) will be the responsibility of the client. The Italian Villa is a completely NON Smoking  environment.   
    
Insurance - It is strongly advised that clients arrange adequate Event & Cancellation Insurance to protect against cancellation costs, damages, public liability etc.   For some events this insurance may be compulsory.    
    
Caterers - Catering is provided by our nominated caterer who can deal with a complete range of dietary and catering needs.   Our selected caterers are nominated on the basis of a reputation of professional expertise and the ability 'to deliver' your requirements.  However, Compton Acres cannot be held responsible for the quality of food, the timings and delivery of food or any staff provided/produced by selected caterers.    
    
Entertainment - Please contact Compton Acres regarding any entertainment or equipment you may require for your event.      
    
Use Of Compton Acres - All persons attending functions or events within the Italian Villa or the grounds of Compton Acres are required to comply with all Licensing, Health & Safety and all other regulations put in place by Compton Acres.    
    
Clients must not under any circumstances carry out work of an electrical nature including amplification and lighting within any part of Compton Acres.    
    
Bad Weather - Compton Acres cannot be held responsible in anyway for any unsuitable weather conditions that may arise.  The normal cancellation fee will be applicable in these situations.
