The Italian Villa, based at Compton Acres in Poole, has been awarded the title of Wedding Venue of the Year (Town/City) at the prestigious annual Wedding Industry Awards. The accolade was collected by Managing Director, Tony Beales, at the glittering event at Café de Paris in London’s West End on Thursday 14th January.
The popular wedding venue in Dorset received a record number of votes from brides and grooms who had been married there in the past 12 months – with over 150 weddings having taken place at the venue in 2015. The award was presented by Sky News presenter, Isabel Webster, and Damian Bailey, Founder of The Wedding Industry Awards.
The 26 awards – widely recognised as among the most treasured in the wedding industry – are broken up into seven regions, with the winner of each category from each region being invited to London for the annual grand finals. Each winner received a beautiful glass trophy, engraved with their name and category.
Commenting on the win, Tony Beales, Managing Director of The Italian Villa, commented: “Winning the regional final was fantastic, but winning the title of Best Wedding Venue in the UK is just incredible! What makes this award even more valuable is that it was voted for exclusively by our wonderful couples who have share their special day with us. Our whole team are very proud of this achievement and we can’t wait to make more wedding dreams come true in 2016!”
